Strong, lean, fit, healthy, happy. That’s the goal right? Or is it?

The thing with goals is they’re quite unique. One can feel quite lost if they take on the goals of others, without actually considering to what degree these goals match with who they really are and what they really want for themselves now and in the future.

For this reason, prior to setting goals, I recommend clients get really clear on their top 5 values.

Values

By selecting a list of your top five values, you have something to focus on.

You can ensure that your goals are congruent with your values list.

When you set goals in this way, you give them integrity, meaning, a kickstart of motivation to get you going and an anchor and inspired choice to keep you going.

If everything is on your list, nothing becomes a priority. Aim for five non-negotiables.

That’s not to say that your values may never change. As your life changes, so may your values. That’s why I recommend this list be reviewed each time you set your goals.

Live your days on the positive side of life, in tune with your most treasured values. And in each moment you’ll have much to live for.
