March Exhibition At
Martin Galleries In Brisbane

28th February 2010: I'm a little bit late with this but if you're in Brisbane and would like to see my work in person, get along to Martin Galleries at Nundah Village between February 24th and March 21st.

My works will be on display there as part of a joint exhibition with 8 other terrific contemporary artists, and I'm very excited about it (this is my first Brisbane show in more than a year).

Even better - if you'd like to meet me in person - come along to the official opening night on Thursday 4th March between 6:00pm and 8:30pm.

You can get a PDF flyer about the exhibition that you can print off and paste on your refrigerator as a reminder by clicking here.
I hope to see you there!

Five More New Works Added To My Site Today
1st February 2010: Hello everyone (and Happy New Year!) I added five new works to my site today which are another grab bag of the various themes that I've been working on over the summer: one for my Figurative Works series that's quite different to anything I've done in this series before; another two for my Funky Lifestyles series that's pretty funky; and two for my expanding Natural Spectacular series.

My new figurative work - "Love Harmony Peace Bliss" (top left) - is inspired by my recent work in abstracts and it's on show all this month at Kingaroy's Utopia Cafe, along with some other fun works that I've dashed off to help celebrate Valentines Day.

By contrast, my new Funky Lifestles work "Love Will Lift You" (middle left) is part of a new theme that I've begun experimenting with lately. This theme also includes "Perfect Blue Building" (middle right) - a work I love so much that I've added it to my own collection - but you can see it in the Not For Sale section of Funky Lifestyles too).

And my two new works for Natural Spectacular - "Love Naturally" and "Perfect Pair" (bottom row) - fill a void in still life-type work that I've had for a little while (you can also see Perfect Pair on display at Utopia this month).

I hope you like them and I'd certainly welcome any feedback you'd care to email me.

Four New Works Added To My Site Today
(And A Very Merry Christmas To All My Visitors!)

24th December 2009: Hello everyone! I added four new works to my site today. One of them is a triptych (ie a work composed of three separate pieces) which is the first triptych I've done in my new Abstracts series; and I've added another new work to my popular Funky Lifestyles series.

The Abstracts triptych is called "Tiled" (the first three works you can see at right). And while each work is available individually, I really intend the entire work to be composed of all three pieces.

You can view each individual work up close in my Abstracts gallery as well as see how all three look when they're assembled together in the way I think they should be displayed.

Naturally, the triptych will be impossible to buy if any of the three individual pieces is sold. So I'll remove the triptych view from my site if this occurs.

My new Funky Lifestyles work, meanwhile, is "The Love Tree By Night" (bottom right) and it continues the light-hearted, whimsical style of this series that so many of you have told me you love.

Finally, I'd like to thank you for visiting me in 2009 (either at a gallery or here on my website) and to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a bright and happy New Year. I'll see you with more new works in 2010!

Five New Works Added To My Site Today
16th December 2009: Hello everyone! I added five new works to my site today which are a bit of a grab bag of the various themes I've been working on recently: two for my new Abstracts series; two for my on-going Curious Creatures series; and another for my popular Funky Lifestyles series.

I started my new Abstracts series in the middle of 2009 because I wanted to explore different facets of painting and stretch myself.

Abstracts force us all to "think outside the square" and I found doing them much more difficult than I originally expected.

However, the number of works I'm satisfied with is steadily growing and I hope you like the two latest additions: Daisies (middle left) and Romantique (middle right).

I've also added a new item to my popular Funky Lifestytes series: Love Shack (top left). This is a very happy piece that I had a lot of fun putting together and fits in with the upbeat nature of the series, many of which are now sold.

Finally, I also added two new Curious Creatures (both with an ocean theme): Pisces (bottom left) and Silver The Happy Fish (bottom right). These are fun and inexpensive pieces that I hope you enjoy, and you can view all these new works in close-up in their respective galleries.

My New Giftware Lines
(Just In Time For Christmas)

7th December 2009: I'm very pleased to announce a great new section on my web site today: my new range of Giftware lines.

The small range of cards, calendars, T-shirts and prints in my new Giftware line is made possible by an arrangement I've made with Redbubble.com.

RedBubble allow you to select the items you want online; customise them if needed (eg: the colour and size of a T-shirt; or the frame type, colour and matte for a framed print); and then pay for them online in a secure environment.

The items you want are then individually printed on high-quality stock or cloth and posted directly to your home or office - easy! .

My new Giftware lines allow me to offer unique, individual gift items sourced from my original artworks at prices ranging from $4.55 for cards through to around $30 for calendars and T-shirts, and $19.50 to $130 for prints.

Which means that if you can't afford one of my original artworks at the moment, you can still have my works around you at a price that anyone can afford.

Merry Christmas everyone!

See My Works In Real Life!
28th June 2009: By popular request, I've made some slight adjustments to my website today to make it (I hope!) even easier and more useful for everyone who visits me online.

First of all, I split my old Portfolio page into 4 separate gallery pages. These pages load much faster than my old page and make it easier to inspect the new works that I've just added to Funky Lifestyles and Curious Creatures.

I've also added a new page called My Works In Real Life that let you see how my works actually look in real houses and on real walls if you find it hard to get an idea from my Gallery pages (see screenshot at right).

And you can view these pictures in an online slideshow (just click on any photo - if you move your mouse up towards the top of any picture that pops up you can browse by clicking the "Next" and "Prev" buttons that will appear there).

A big "Thank you!" to everyone who made the suggestions over the last few months that led to these improvements. I have a few more coming soon too!
